Here is my system that I use every month:

1. On the 28th of the month, my wife and I make sure to pay off all of our credit cards in full. We only use them for points and miles. I understand this may not be possible if you are still on your debt free journey!
2. We Update our net worth calculator on the last day of the month with new balances of our checking account, savings, investments, etc.
3. We update our real estate value estimations once a quarter.
4. We compare where we are with previous months and ensure that the decisions we are making are pushing our goals forward.

• We own real estate with partners, so it was important to make sure we could include what percentage our ownership was in certain properties and debt along with it.
• Your net worth number will turn green if positive or red if negative. It is okay if it is negative at first!
